An ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Apron is a safety garment that is employed to protect against the risk of damaged parts of the electricity when operating and attaching. It is composed of high-quality antistatic material that enables normal release of electrostatic charges and lessens the risk of breaking the fragile devices, including PCBs and semiconductor components. The apron is designed using a lightweight, breathable and comfortable fabric. which makes it possible to work long hours in the ESD-friendly environment, e.g. electronics manufacturing unit, cleanroom and repair shop. It is usually equipped with adjustable belts and practical closures to fit and be convenient to use. Some of the designs are also pockets to make them convenient. The apron has been designed to be strong, and it remains to have antistatic properties even after use and washing. It is employed with other ESD safety gear, such as wrist straps and grounded floors, in order to provide a controlled and non-static environment where products become safe and have a higher level of reliability and predictability.
